Our Story

We're two childhood friends who love basketball and, let's be honest, snacking (who doesn't?). Growing up in Southeast Asia, we often reminisced about the delicious dishes from back home.

One day, while shooting hoops, we started talking about water spinach, or 'kangkong' as we call it, and the amazing dishes made with it. We realized how hard it is to find those flavours in the UK, so we brainstormed ways to bring that taste to everyone. That's how Spinachips was born – turning our beloved kangkong into a crisp that everyone can enjoy! 🍃

The Product

Water spinach is a staple in Asian cuisine known for its crisp texture and nutritional benefits. Packed with fiber and essential vitamins, water spinach provided the perfect base for our chips. Spinachips is gluten-free and vegan-friendly, ensuring that everyone can enjoy them without worrying about dietary restrictions. 

These leaves are perfectly battered in chickpea flour, tapioca starch, and a blend of spices for added flavour, then fried in coconut oil to create a burst of savoury taste 🥥
